Portugal’s TAP Says Jan.-Aug. Passenger Traffic Rises 3.8%

Portuguese state-owned airline TAP SGPS SA said passenger traffic increased 3.8 percent to 6.8 million in the eight months through August from the same period a year earlier.
The Lisbon-based carrier said it carried a record 1.1 million passengers in August, according to an e-mailed statement today.
