Newcastle’s Pardew Gets Ban, Fine for Pushing Assistance Referee

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew was suspended for two matches and fined 20,000 pounds ($32,000) by England’s Football Association after accepting a charge of misconduct for pushing an assistant referee.
Pardew had a hearing today after accepting the charge for the incident that occurred during the 2-1 win over Tottenham on Aug. 18. He publicly apologized for the incident after the Premier League game.
His sideline ban will take place immediately.
