Darty Denies Plan to Sell Turkish Stores; Aims to Expand

Darty Plc (DRTY), the London-based consumer electronics retailer, denied a report in the Turkish media that it plans to sell stores in the country.
Darty will grow in Turkey by opening five stores a year, it said in an e-mailed statement today.
Teknosa Ic & Dis Ticaret AS, Turkey’s biggest electronics retailer that hired HSBC Holding Plc (HSBA) for acquisitions, may target Darty’s stores in Turkey, Milliyet newspaper said today.
Darty has 28 stores in Turkey, according to the statement.
