Scott Ties Record With 64 to Take One-Shot Lead at British Open
Australian Adam Scott shot a record- tying 64 to hold a one-stroke lead in the opening round of golf’s British Open.
Scott matched the scoring mark for the Open at Royal Lytham & St. Annes set by Tom Lehman in the third round in 1996. He’s 6 under par, one shot better than Scotland’s Paul Lawrie and American Zach Johnson.
Tiger Woods is 3 under through 15 holes, three shots behind Scott.
