Chilean Stock Movers: Cap, CCU, Concha & Toro and Vapores
The following companies had unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are as of the close in Santiago.
Cia. Cervecerias Unidas SA (CCU) dropped 0.8 percent to 6,427.2 pesos. Chile’s largest brewer said second-quarter volume sales rose 7.3 percent from a year earlier. Volume sales in Argentina fell 10.4 percent from a year earlier.
Cia. Sud Americana de Vapores SA (VAPORES CC), Chile’s largest container shipping company, fell 1.9 percent to 61.65 pesos. The Shanghai (Export) Containerized Freight Index fell 2.6 percent in the past week.
Vina Concha & Toro SA (CONCHA) , Chile’s largest wine exporter, rose 1.5 percent to 987.99 pesos, the highest since May 14. Chile’s bottled wine exports grew 12 percent in May from a year earlier, wine exporters association Vinos de Chile said in a statement.
