Chile Rules Out Tsunami Following 6.2-Magnitude Earthquake
Chile´s naval oceanographic service has ruled out a tsunami following a 6.2-magnitude earthquake that struck at 10 p.m. local time off the southern coast of the Andean nation, the service known as Shoa said in a statement posted on its website.
Chile is the world´s largest copper producer. Most of the mines are in the country´s north.
