Edano Says No Japan Reactors in Operation on May 6, Kyodo Says

Japanese Trade Minister Yukio Edano said none of the nation’s nuclear reactors will be in operation starting May 6 after Hokkaido Electric Power Co. suspends the No. 3 reactor at its Tomari plant on May 5, Kyodo News reported.
Edano made the remarks yesterday during a speech in Tokushima, western Japan, Kyodo said.
The Japanese government is seeking to restart two reactors at the Ohi nuclear plant owned by Kansai Electric Power Co.
