Sports Direct Plans European Store Expansion, Express Says

Sports Direct International Plc (SPD) plans to boost the number of stores in continental Europe to 400 from 88, the Sunday Express reported, citing Chief Executive Officer Dave Forsey.

The U.K. retailer will expand some of the smallest of its outlets, the newspaper quoted Forsey as saying. Sports Direct is also planning a “major discounting drive” to compete with JJB Sports Plc (JJB), the newspaper said.
