Russia’s Defense Minister Serdyukov May Resign, RBC Daily Says
Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov may quit when the country forms a new government after Vladimir Putin’s presidential inauguration next month, RBC Daily reported, citing unidentified people.
Serdyukov and Nikolai Makarov, the head of the Russian military’s General Staff, asked not to be re-appointed by the new government, which will be headed by outgoing president Dmitry Medvedev, newspaper said.
