Cameroon’s Average Cocoa Export Price Climbed 0.6% Last Week
Cameroon’s average cocoa export price at the main port of Douala rose 0.6 percent to 1,078 CFA francs per kilogram (2.2 pounds) in the week to March 19, according to Bloomberg calculation from daily data sent by the Cocoa and Coffee Board through mobile-phone text message.
The Central African nation, the continent’s fourth-biggest producer of the crop, exported 149,792 metric tons of cocoa since the season started in August, the board said on Feb. 21.
