Argentine Stock Movers: Siderar and Tenaris Were Active
The following companies had unusual price changes in Argentine trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of the close in Buenos Aires.
The Merval (MERVAL) Index fell 0.1 percent to 2,709.6.
Tenaris SA (TS) dropped 1.5 percent to 100.5 pesos, the biggest decline in a week. The world’s largest producer of seamless steel tubes used in the oil industry fell in line with the price of crude.
Siderar SAIC (ERAR) fell 1.7 percent to 1.76 pesos, the lowest in two weeks. Argentina’s largest steel producer retreated in line with the price of base metals.
