Egyptian Stocks: GB Auto and Maridive & Oil Services

Egypt’s benchmark EGX30 Index (EGX30) rose for the fourth time in five days, advancing 0.7 percent to 5,344.32 at the 2:30 p.m. close in Cairo.

The following shares were active on the Egyptian Exchange. Stock symbols follow company names.

GB Auto (AUTO) gained 1.9 percent to 25.03 Egyptian pounds, the highest level in more than five months. Egypt’s biggest car assembler said fourth-quarter profit rose 8 percent from a year earlier to 43.4 million pounds ($7.2 million).

Maridive & Oil Services SAE (MOIL) fell 1.6 percent, the most in almost two weeks, to $1.85. The Cairo-based marine and oil support-services provider said 2011 profit dropped to $28.7 million from $48.5 million a year earlier.
