Egypt’s Foreign Currency Bank Deposits Increased in January

Foreign currency deposits in Egypt rose in January to the equivalent of 184.6 billion pounds ($30.6 billion), from 181 billion pounds in the previous month, according to central bank data released today.

Deposits in Egyptian pounds fell to 679.5 billion pounds from 681.3 billion pounds in December, the data show.
