Argentine Stocks: Rigolleau, Petrobras Argentina, Tenaris
The following companies are having unusual price changes in Argentine trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 3:15 p.m. in Buenos Aires.
The Merval (MERVAL) Index fell 0.7 percent to 2,816.12.
Rigolleau SA (RIGO) jumped 8.5 percent, the most in a year, to 35 pesos. The glass manufacturer said it would build an oven to increase production capacity about 30 percent at its Rigolleau plant, according to a statement to the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange.
Oil industry companies declined as crude fell to a six-week low in New York. Petrobras Argentina SA (PESA) (PESA AF), the local unit of Brazil’s state-controlled oil company Petroleo Brasileiro SA, dropped 1.3 percent to 7.40 pesos. Tenaris SA (TS) (TS AF), the world’s largest producer of steel tubes used in the petroleum industry, declined 1.1 percent to 90.70 pesos. Soc. Comercial del Plata SA (COME AF), the holding company with subsidiaries that produce petroleum products, fell 0.8 percent to 65 centavos.
