Persian Gulf Stocks: Dana Gas, Deyaar Development and Tamweel
The following shares were active in the Persian Gulf region. Stock symbols are in parentheses.
Dana Gas PJSC (DANA) climbed the most in more than a week, increasing 2.7 percent to 38 fils. The producer of oil and gas mostly from Egypt and Iraq said full-year profit surged more than three-fold to 506 million dirhams ($138 million).
Deyaar Development PJSC (DEYAAR) advanced the most since Nov. 3, jumping 5.6 percent to 22.8 fils. The developer said it will deliver 1,080 homes and commercial properties valued at 1.5 billion dirhams this year.
Masraf Al Rayan (MARK) increased 2.8 percent, the most since Aug. 28, to 24.8 riyals. The Qatari Islamic lender posted a 16 percent increase in 2011 profit to 1.41 billion riyals ($387 million).
Tamweel PJSC (TAMWEEL) rallied to the highest since Dec. 14, soaring 6.3 percent to 68 fils. The mortgage lender controlled by Dubai Islamic Bank PJSC (DIB) reported an almost four- fold increase in fourth-quarter profit.
