Sasol to Remove Mozambique Land Mines for Project, Noticias Says
Sasol Ltd.’s unit in Mozambique will next month start removing land mines in the north of Inhambane province before beginning seismic studies on its new concession in April, Noticias newspaper reported, citing Peter Dekker, a research manager for the company in Africa.
Research on the hydrocarbons concession will be done in three phases and will last from two to three years, with an investment of as much as $20 million, the Maputo-based newspaper reported. The company plans to start opening research wells in 2013, depending the results of the studies, it said.
