AMR’s American Airlines Files Notices to Keep 21 Aircraft in Bankruptcy
American listed the planes in notices filed yesterday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan. The Fort Worth, Texas- based company is reviewing aircraft agreements and has said it doesn’t want to retain all of the planes in its fleet under current financing terms.
AMR’s American and American Eagle commuter carrier have about 900 aircraft combined. AMR filed for bankruptcy in November.
The case is In re AMR Corp., 11-15463, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of New York (Manhattan).
