Saudi Arabia Awards $80 Million Wastewater Plant Order, SPA Says
National Water Co., Saudi Arabia’s state-owned utility, signed a contract to build a sewage- treatment plant and generate electric and thermal energy for 300 billion riyals ($80 million), the Saudi Press Agency said.
The contract was awarded to a group including Riyadh-based Al-Arrab Contracting Co. and Mondsee, Austria-based BWT AG (BWT), the news service said, citing Minister of Water and Electricity Abdullah al-Hussayen.
The plant will service the Saudi capital Riyadh and construction will be completed within 34 months, it said.
