Everton’s Marouane Fellaini Agrees to New Five-Year Contract Through 2016

By Bob Bensch - Nov 17, 2011

Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini signed a new five-year contract, the Premier League club said on its website.

The agreement will keep Fellaini, who had 18 months remaining on his current contract, with the Toffees through the summer of 2016.

“Marouane has been a hugely influential player for Everton since his arrival in 2008 and we hope that remains the case for the next five years,” Everton Chief Executive Officer Robert Elstone said.

Fellaini, 23, has scored 16 goals since joining Everton from Standard Liege for 15 million pounds ($24 million). The Belgium national team player has one goal in 12 matches this season.
