SWISS DAYBOOK: Synthes, Nestle, Sonova, Santhera
Synthes Inc. (SYST), the medical-device maker that’s agreed to be acquired by Johnson & Johnson, posted an 11 percent increase in third-quarter sales on growth in Europe and Asia. Third-quarter revenue climbed to $1 billion from $907.2 million a year earlier, the company said. Sales topped $1 billion for the first time.
