Qatar to Name World Cup Consultant in November, Independent Says
Qatar will announce next month the group to oversee the construction of facilities for the 2022 soccer World Cup, the Independent on Sunday reported, without saying where it got the information.
Arup Ltd., a U.K. consulting company, is bidding with CH2M Hill Cos., according to the newspaper. Other bidders include KBR Inc. (KBR), Turner International and Aecom Technology Corp. (ACM), the Independent on Sunday said. Mace, the company involved in the construction of a London skyscraper known as the Shard, has also expressed interest in the work, the report said.
