FAW, Isuzu Plan Plants in South Africa, Bus. Day Says

FAW Car Co. of China plans to build a $100 million truck and car plant at Coega in South Africa while Isuzu Motors Ltd. (7202) may build an assembly plant at the site, Johannesburg’s Business Day newspaper reported, citing the companies.
FAW’s plant may open next year and produce 5,000 vehicles annually with an eventual capacity of 30,000 units planned, the newspaper said, citing Richard Leiter, the managing director of the country’s South African unit.
