Singapore Stocks: Boustead, Global Logistic, United Overseas
Singapore’s Straits Times Index swung between gains and losses, climbing 0.9 percent to 2,856.9 as of the close.

Boustead Singapore Ltd. (BOCS) advanced 1.2 percent to 86 Singapore cents. The engineering company said one of its subsidiaries, Boustead Projects Pte. Ltd., was awarded an S$11 million ($9.1 million) contract to build an Asia-Pacific regional data center for a health-care and pharmaceutical corporation.
Global Logistic Properties Ltd. (GLP) gained 1.7 percent to S$1.78. The owner of warehouses in China and Japan said it signed several new leasing agreements in western China, where demand for its facilities is “rapidly growing.”
Noble Group Ltd. (NOBL),, a Hong Kong-based supplier of energy, food and mining commodities, rose 3.2 percent to S$1.615. Corn futures in Chicago advanced on speculation that production in the U.S., the top producer and exporter, will be lower than estimated. Rubber futures advanced to the highest in a week and cotton rose by the most in almost two months.
United Overseas Bank Ltd. (UOB) fell 0.1 percent to S$18.08. The lender said it increased its stake in Vietnam’s Southern Commercial Joint-Stock Bank to 19.99 percent.
