Tunisia Arrests Libyan After Attempt to Bomb Embassy, TAP Says
Tunisia’s army arrested a Libyan military commander who admitted he attempted to bomb the embassy of an Arab state in the capital Tunis, official Tunis Afrique Presse agency reported, citing a defence ministry statement.
The commander, Abdel Razzak al-Rajhi, said he had received orders from Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi to carry out the attack on the diplomatic mission, according to the agency, also known as TAP. TAP did not mention which country the mission represented or other details about Rajhi’s arrest.
