Vietnam’s Stocks: Dong Nai Roofsheet & Construction, Gemadept

Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Vietnam trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are as of the 11 a.m. local-time close.

The VN Index, the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, fell 0.4 percent to 384.44, the lowest level since May 2009.

Dong Nai Roofsheet & Construction Material Joint-Stock Co. (DCT VN), a maker of roof sheet material based in the southern province of Dong Nai, declined 1.6 percent to 6,100 dong, a record low. The company’s second-quarter profit slumped 47 percent to 3.23 billion dong ($155,000), according to an exchange statement.

Gemadept Corp. (GMD) , a Ho Chi Minh City-based shipping company, slid for a fifth day, dropping 1.4 percent to 21,900 dong, the lowest since March 2009. Deutsche Bank AG plans to cut its stake in Gemadept to 5.4 percent from 6.4 percent between Aug. 12 and Oct. 10, an exchange filing said.

Vung Tau Real Estate & Construction Joint-Stock Co. (VRC VN), which provides construction services, climbed 1.2 percent to 8,200 dong. Au Viet Securities Corp. raised its stake in the company to 5.8 percent from 4.9 percent, according to an exchange statement.
