Societe Generale, Saint-Gobain, BNP: French Equity Preview
The following is a list of companies whose shares may have unusual price changes in Paris. Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names and prices are from the last close.
Societe Generale (GLE) : France’s second-largest bank issued a blanket denial of “all market rumors” after speculation that France’s creditworthiness was in doubt. The shares fell 15 percent to 22.18 euros in Paris.
Cie de Saint-Gobain (SGO FP): A unit of the manufacturer of glass and construction materials agreed to buy Bekaert NV’s specialty-films operations. The shares fell 8.1 percent to 31.43 euros.
Fonciere Atland (FATL) : The real estate investment company said first-half revenue declined to 4.6 million euros ($6.5 million) from 4.8 million euros. The shares rose 9.9 percent to 61.8 euros.
Umanis (UMS) : The computer consulting company said first-half revenue rose to 39.8 million euros from 27 million euros. The shares were unchanged at 5.8 euros.
