Cameroon Arabica Coffee Prices Decline 8.3% in Week to July 31, Board Says
Cameroon’s arabica coffee prices decreased 8.3 percent to 2,318 CFA francs a kilogram (2.2 pounds) in the week through July 31, the Cocoa and Coffee Board said.
The average export price fell from 2,529 francs a kilogram, Richard Adzogo, webmaster of the board’s information department, said in a mobile-phone text message from the port city of Douala today.
Farmgate prices for washed and dried arabica dropped 7 percent during the same period, the North West Cooperative Association said in an e-mailed report from its head office in Bamenda, 400 kilometers (250 miles) northwest of the capital, Yaounde.
