Kenya Data Plans to Invest in Back-Up System, Bus. Daily Says

Kenya Data Networks Ltd. will invest 2.8 billion shillings ($32 million) in a back-up system for its fibre-optic cable network to reduce outages, Business Daily reported, citing Chief Technical Officer Bob Lafite.
The company signed a 320 million-shilling agreement with Israel-based ECI Telecom Ltd. to upgrade its network, the Nairobi-based newspaper reported today.
