Humala, Fujimori Tied in Poll by Peru’s Catholic University

Peruvian presidential candidates Keiko Fujimori and Ollanta Humala were tied in a poll by Lima’s Catholic University ahead of the June 5 runoff vote.

Fujimori had 44.2 percent support and Humala had 43.7 percent in the poll, which had a margin of error of plus or minus 2.31 percentage points, the university said today in an e- mailed statement.

The university contacted 1,800 people in the national survey from May 21-23.
