West Ham Signs Striker Robbie Keane From Tottenham for Initial Six Months
West Ham signed Ireland striker Robbie Keane from Premier League soccer rival Tottenham until the end of the season to boost the club’s fight against relegation.
Keane, 30, signed on “an initial six-month basis, which will continue for a further two years provided the club are in the Premier League next season,” West Ham said in a statement on its website.
“I feel as fit as I ever have done in my life and I have plenty left to offer at the highest level,” Keane told the website.
Keane is West Ham’s fourth signing of the transfer window, following fullback Wayne Bridge, midfielder Gary O’Neil and striker Demba Ba.
