Brison Says Liberals Made `Clear' Budget Demands; Undecided About Support
Canadian opposition lawmaker Scott Brison said his Liberal Party has “made it clear” what they want to see in Conservative Finance Minister Jim Flaherty’s budget later this year, including spending on education and worker training.
Speaking to reporters in Ottawa, Brison, the main opposition Liberals’ spokesman for finance issues, said they will wait to see what is in the budget before deciding whether to support it.
The Conservatives lack a majority of seats in Canada’s Parliament and need the support of one opposition bloc in order to pass laws and remain in power.
