Adebayor in Demand
Manchester City prefers the Togo striker to move to Liverpool because it could battle Tottenham for the Premier League title or a place in the Champions League. Adebayor currently makes 160,000 pounds ($247,696) a week at City.
Spanish side Malaga has also expressed an interest in a loan deal for Adebayor, the Daily Mirror reported.
Keane for Becks?
The Galaxy wants Tottenham to cover a 500,000 pound insurance deal to compensate them in case the former England captain gets injured during what would be a two-month spell in the Premier League. Beckham suffered an Achilles injury last season while on loan at A.C. Milan.
Birmingham yesterday offered 7 million pounds for Keane, who makes 65,000 pounds a week at Tottenham.
Vela to Spain?
Arsenal striker Carlos Vela may move to Valencia, the Sun reported. Valencia officials were in London yesterday to try and get the 21-year-old Mexican striker on loan, with a view to a 2 million pound transfer deal in the summer.
Power of Prayer
Hernandez, who has scored nine goals in his first season at Old Trafford, said he always prays before a game.
“I talk to God and I tell him to take care of the health of both teams because the worse thing for a sportsman are injuries and there are a lot of accidents on the pitch that nobody wants,” the paper quoted the 22-year-old as saying. “I like to ask God to take care of me, because he gave me the opportunity to play.”
