Gubretas, Ihlas, Kardemir: Turkey Equity Market Preview

Turkey’s benchmark ISE National 100 index advanced for the third day, rising 607.10, or 0.9 percent, to 68,828.96 yesterday.
Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (GUBRF TI): The Turkish fertilizer maker known as Gubretas, aims to increase sales volume to a record 1.53 million metric tons this year from 1.46 million tons in 2010, Dunya reported, citing chief executive Mehmet Koca. The company may increase sales by as much as 15 percent in 2011, depending on fertilizer prices, Dunya cited Koca as saying. Gubretas fell 15 kurus, or 0.9 percent, to 17.30 liras.
Ihlas Holding AS (IHLAS TI): The group with interests in construction, healthcare, media and household appliances, said its unit will build 5,104 houses and 76 offices in Istanbul’s Beylikduzu district in two years, after winning a contract from the local municipality, according to a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange today. Ihlas was unchanged at 1.85 liras.
Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi & Ticaret AS (KRDMD TI): The steelmaker won an auction to supply 20,000 metric tons of railroad track to Turkey’s state railway company, it said in a statement to the exchange after markets close yesterday. Kardemir was unchanged at 77 kurus.
