Calpine Corp., the U.S. power producer, restored output today at a plant in California.
The company’s 750.7-megawatt Pastoria Energy Facility was operating at full capacity as of 3:15 p.m. local time, the California Independent System Operator said in a report.
The unit had 290.7 megawatts idled at the same time yesterday in an unplanned shutdown.
The natural gas-fired power plant is south of Bakersfield. One megawatt can power about 800 typical U.S. homes.
