Big Yellow, Diploma, Severn Trent: U.K., Irish Equity Preview
The following is a list of companies whose shares may have unusual price changes in U.K. and Irish markets. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are from the last market close.
Avanti Communications Group Plc (AVN LN): The U.K. satellite service provider plans to launch its Hylas 1 satellite from French Guiana on Nov. 26, the London-based Sunday Times reported. The shares fell 0.3 percent to 658 pence.
Big Yellow Group Plc (BYG LN): The U.K. self-storage operator is scheduled to report first-half earnings. The stock fell 1.8 percent to 315.2 pence.
British Land Co. (BLND LN): The U.K. company that will build the London tower known as the Cheesegrater has agreed terms to buy the Drake Circus shopping mall, in Plymouth, south west England, from Kandahar Real Estate Ltd., the Daily Telegraph said, without saying where it got the information. The shares rose 0.2 percent to 496.3 pence.
Diploma Plc (DPLM LN): The U.K. distributor of engineering and laboratory equipment founded in 1931 is due to report full- year earnings. The shares rose 0.1 percent to 284.5 pence.
KSK Power Ventur Plc (KSK LN): The developer of power projects across India is due to report first-half earnings. The shares fell 2.3 percent to 542.5 pence.
Lloyds Banking Group Plc (LLOY LN): The U.K.’s biggest mortgage lender may be recommended for breakup by a U.K. government-appointed panel, reversing last year’s combination with HBOS Plc, according to committee member Clare Spottiswoode, the Financial Times said. The shares declined 1.6 percent to 66.72 pence.
Mitie Group Plc (MTO LN): The services company which provides security guards to all courts in England and Wales is scheduled to report first-half earnings. The company may report net income of 28.5 million pounds according to the average of 4 estimates compiled by Bloomberg. The shares rose 1.5 percent to 201 pence.
RM Plc (RM/ LN): The U.K. provider of educational products is scheduled to report full-year earnings. The shares rose 1.7 percent to 150.5 pence.
Severn Trent Plc (SVT LN): The U.K.’s second-largest water company will say this week it aims to raise its dividend by 3 percent more than inflation each year for the next four years, the Mail on Sunday reported. The shares rose 0.3 percent to 1,439 pence.
Tesco Plc (TSCO LN): The U.K.’s largest retailer said sales rose in China, Korea, India, Thailand and Malaysia in the nine weeks through Oct. 31. The stock fell 0.4 percent to 426.65 pence.
United Utilities Group Plc (UU/ LN): Chief Executive Officer Philip Green may announce his resignation as early as Nov. 24, the London-based Sunday Times reported, without saying where it got the information. The stock advanced 0.3 percent to 628 pence.
