Australian Unions Should Keep Right to Prosecute on Safety, Premier Says
Australia’s state of New South Wales wants an exemption for unions to have the right to prosecute over workplace safety, Premier Kristina Keneally told reporters in Sydney today.
Prime Minister Julia Gillard’s threat of financial penalties if the state retains different laws is “heavy handed” and “premature,” Keneally added.
