Barclays Wealth Hires BofA's Gershuny as General Counsel for the Americas
Gershuny, who was most recently general counsel at Bank of America’s Merrill Lynch wealth-management unit, joined Merrill 34 years ago, the company said today in a statement. Reynolds was head of regulatory risk at RBS Americas, a unit of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc, and prior to that he held several risk positions at Citigroup Inc. Gershuny and Reynolds also were named managing directors and will be based in New York, according to the statement.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome senior legal and risk professionals of Don and Peter’s caliber and experience,” Mitch Cox, head of Barclays Wealth in the Americas and research and investments for the firm globally, said in the statement.
Barclays Wealth, the largest wealth manager in the U.K., operates 14 offices in the U.S. and Latin America for wealthy customers.
