GD Power Plans to Construct 10-Megawatt Solar Project in China's Qinghai

Aug. 27 (Bloomberg New Energy Finance) -- GD Power Development Co., a Chinese power project developer, said it plans to build a 10-megawatt solar project in Geermu, Qinghai province.

The Beijing-based company has completed a feasibility study of the plant in Xining and plans to proceed with its development, GD Power said in a statement on its website today. The cost and schedule of the plant weren’t disclosed.

The plant is the first phase of a planned 100-megawatt photovoltaic power project and is GD Power’s first renewable- energy project in Qinghai province, the company said.

GD Power also started construction of a 5 billion-yuan ($735 million) wind farm in Eleshun in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Xinhua reported today.
