Hockey Says `Open, Fair Markets' Key to Confidence in a Nation's Economy
Australia’s opposition treasury spokesman Joe Hockey said “open, fair markets” are the key to confidence in a nation’s economy.
Hockey made the comments in Canberra today at the National Press Club in response to the Labor government’s annual budget released on May 11 that projected a return to surplus three years ahead of forecast. Hockey said the Liberal-National coalition’s policy toward paid parental leave will boost the Australian workforce.
