Germany to Delay Decision on Solar Subsidy Cut, FAZ Reports
The German government will delay its decision on a proposed 15 percent cut in solar-power subsidies beyond next week because of a disagreement within the governing coalition, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported, without saying where it got the information.
Michael Fuchs, a lawmaker from Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democrats, called for cuts ranging from 25 to 30 percent, while Merkel’s Bavarian allies and the Liberal Democrats want the reductions to be postponed, the newspaper said.
