THQ’s Chief Accounting Officer Van Der Colff Resigns (Udpate1)
THQ Inc. (THQI), maker of the “WWE” wresting and “Wall-E” video games, said Chief Accounting Officer Rasmus van der Colff resigned.
Van der Colff resigned from the Agoura Hill, California- based game publisher on March 6, according to a regulatory filing today. THQ didn’t give a reason. Spokeswoman Julie MacMedan didn’t immediately return a call seeking comment.
Van der Colff was THQ’s acting chief financial officer from November to February, while former CFO Colin Slade took a medical leave. On Feb. 4, Chief Executive Officer Brian Farrell named Paul Pucino to fill the role permanently.
THQ gained 3 cents to $2.69 on the Nasdaq Stock Market today. The shares have declined 85 percent in the past year.
Farrell is in the middle of a restructuring plan that includes cutting almost a quarter of the staff and closing development studios. The company reported a $191.8 million loss in the period ended Dec. 31, the fifth loss in the past six quarters.
