Virgin Atlantic Airways’ $7 million lounge at Terminal 4 of New York’s JFK Airport celebrated its grand opening on March 5 following a soft launch on Feb. 29. It now welcomes its upper-class passengers, along with gold-level members of Virgin Atlantic's Flying Club (its frequent flyer plan) and, for a $50 fee, its first-class and "main cabin select" passengers. Singapore Airlines’ first-class passengers and Solitaire PPS card holders, as well as Tam Airlines’ first-class and business passengers, also have access.

The chic clubhouse, which incorporates New York-theme details such as Chrysler Building-pattern wallpaper, is the product of an in-house design team and New York's Slade Architecture. An on-site kitchen, restaurant service, and a bar are among the amenities in the 10,000-sq.-ft. lounge.
