- He was runner-up in last year’s Institutional Investor survey
- Patel previously held a similar position at Credit Suisse
Pankaj Patel, one of Wall Street’s top-ranked quant analysts, has left Evercore ISI to pursue other interests.
He resigned as the head of quantitative and small-cap research after a three-year stint at the New York-based firm. Dennis DeBusschere, head of portfolio strategy, and Brian Herlihy will assume his responsibilities.
“We are very sorry to see him go and have greatly appreciated Pankaj’s research efforts and for helping us enter the exciting world of quantitative research,” Evercore ISI President Vinayak Singh wrote in a statement.
Patel was the runner-up in last year’s Institutional Investor’ survey for quantitative strategy. Prior to joining Evercore ISI, he led Credit Suisse Group AG’s quant research for 13 years.
