The largest share of Polish expatriates called the U.K. their home in 2015, with Germany the second-most sought destination, according to the Central Statistical Office in Warsaw. A total of 2.4 million Poles lived abroad last year, 6 percent of all citizens. That’s almost two-and-a-half times more than at the end of 2004 -- the year Poland joined the European Union.
