Consumers in Singapore are the most pessimistic in seven years as they are concerned about the outlook for quality of life, income and employment in the next six months, according to a survey conducted by Mastercard. Such a level of confidence was last seen when gross domestic product shrank for a fourth consecutive quarter in June 2009. The trade ministry cut the upper end of its 2016 growth forecast Thursday.
