Pimco Portfolio Manager Focused on Asia Credit Said to Have Left

  • Portfolio manager Ronie Ganguly has left Pimco, person says
  • The firm hired Frank Chen as credit research analyst in July

Ronie Ganguly, who was a portfolio manager focused on Asia credit, has left Pacific Investment Management Co., according to a person familiar with the matter.

A Pimco spokesperson declined to comment. Ganguly had joined Pimco in 2013 based in Singapore. Prior to that, he had traded Asian high-yield bonds at Deutsche Bank AG, according to Pimco’s website.

Ganguly couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.

The firm hired Frank Chen as a Hong Kong-based credit research analyst in July.
