German power for next year, a benchmark European electricity contract, rose to its highest this year on Monday, tracking gains in European coal. The power contract has risen more than 4 percent in June and is headed for its fourth monthly advance, the longest such streak since June 2007. “Coal prices went through the roof and took power prices along” amid insecurity around Brexit, said Omar Ramdani, head of analysis at RheinEnergie Trading GmbH.
