Americans buy more electronic cigarettes and other vaping products than anyone else in the world. In 2015, the U.S. accounted for about 43 percent of the $8 billion market, according to Euromonitor International. That’s more than triple the level in the U.K., the second-largest market. Vapor products are increasingly important to tobacco companies such as Altria Group Inc. and Reynolds American Inc., which face declining consumption of traditional cigarettes.
