U.K. stocks fell for the first time in five days, led by losses in homebuilders.
Taylor Wimpey Plc and Berkeley Group Holdings Plc slid more than 3.2 percent after a report by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors predicted British house prices will fall for the first time since 2012.
The FTSE 100 Index lost 0.7 percent at 8:31 a.m. in London. Vodafone Group Plc, WPP Plc and Johnson Matthey Plc traded without the right to their dividend today, shaving 9.8 points off the benchmark gauge.
The broader FTSE All-Share Index and Ireland’s ISEQ Index also dropped 0.7 percent.
