U.K. equities reversed earlier gains, ending the day little changed at their lowest levels since May 23.
The FTSE 100 Index slipped 0.1 percent, after gaining as much as 0.5 percent. Standard Chartered Plc rose 2.2 percent after saying it’s on track to achieve a $1 billion cost-cut target. Johnson Matthey Plc jumped 5.9 percent after reporting earnings that beat projections. Wolseley Plc fell further amid analyst downgrades following its earnings report yesterday.
The broader FTSE All-Share Index and Ireland’s ISEQ Index were also little changed.
